Buckeye Creek is best viewed as a turnkey hunting and recreational property maintained to meet the needs of an avid deer and turkey hunter enthusiast. The owner has consistently maintained habitat enhancements to include rotational prescribed burning programs and summer and fall wildlife plots of clover, wheat/oats, and other various wildlife mixes for deer and turkey. The owner has consistently maintained QDM practices throughout the ownership, including a one-buck limit of 3.5 years or older. He has consistently maintained a quality buck-to-doe ratio, along with recorded deer sightings for every hunt throughout his 20 years of ownership. Buckeye Creek has been recognized as an NRCS partner that participates in EQIP and Conservation Stewardship programs. Buckeye Creek was recognized as the 2019 Conservationist of the Year.
Improvements
Buckeye Creek is gated and fenced along Watermelon Road. The owner has created an ideal gathering area to include a 4-stall open barn with a concrete floor, power hookups, a small equipment shed, a skinning shed, a concrete slab with a well, and a septic tank for campers, creating a turnkey hunting property.
